I don’t expect to win an argument here, just to persuade a bunch of you that EVs are NOT a panacea and I’m very glad I’m out of them. Exxon is also working on a non-fossil fuel replacement. Don’t sell your P car yet.

We can put human on the Moon and eventually Mars, but why can't we create an EV with "REAL" realistic engine sounds/loudness to accelerator pressure/angle/etc with a choice of type of ICE (4/6/8/12 cyclinder) sounds at a touch of a button? Any sounds, even artificially sounding is better than the EV motor whirring. The engine/exhaust sounds are what I will miss the most with ICE
