Default Another Successful Track Day

I have just returned from a very pleasant midweek track event at VIR with Rezoom. This was my second track event in my 07 Cayman S. Everything went very smoothly and the car is quite fun to drive, especially trading up from my former 944. Also, my new Numerica shifter was very confidence inspiring. And the weather was perfect.

I love VIR, such a fantastic place to be.. Not just the track but the whole facility is top notch...

And these cars are such a good track car, they are underrated in how well they perform. Just a joy to drive fast.

Here is a clip for the PCA race there in March. Weather was a little cool, but perfect for racing...

Love how the sport-chrono spot is perfect to mount a right-side net. Who knew?

Thanks for posting. Now I'm missing race starts... nothing like it.

I wish it was going into the air vent instead of the sport Chrono wort. It would give it more room for things to be mounted to the windshield. But it’s not that big a deal.

@harveyf I highly recommend used oil analysis if driving on the track. I did three track events, sent the oil in and found my bearings were shot.
Saved the engine before it blew; it's now being rebuilt to 3.8

Oh very nice! You’re a braver man than me! I unloaded the car to my mechanic
