Treat Yourself to New Carpet While You Can
I replaced a large percentage of the carpet in my wifes 2006 Cayman S last year, due to mouse damage. At that time, most but not all of the pieces were available via my local dealership, although some waiting was required. That car has a natural brown interior. More recently, I have replaced just the large floor piece in my 2007 Cayman S. That car has a Sandbeige interior. These OEM carpet pieces all fit perfectly, with good color match. All the closed cell foam backings are as per original, as were the shapes of the molded pieces and the cutouts. Knowing the situation with my 944s and 928s, where the only options are 3rd party products, I just wanted to encourage everyone to consider ordering some OEM carpets while you can. New carpets really dress up the interior.

It's thousands, not hundreds, if you do an entire interior. The part number shown above is showing at Getporschesilverspringparts at $1045 but I don't know how they handle shipping. It came in a very large box. I actually bought all of mine at my local dealer and played the "price match" card but I think each dealership has their own policies on how they handle that.
Again, the message is you may regret someday not pulling the trigger on stuff like this while it is still available.

Thanks for the tip! I have the blog detailing your work to refresh the interior bookmarked because I go back and reference it so often. Thank you! 😊

It looks great - just wondering why it all had to be replaced and not cleaned (unless damaged but also wonder what kind of damage it might have been). Big thumbs up for taking on this task and crushing it

@Matt(inMA) I guess every situation is different. My existing carpet was not damaged but kind of like wall to wall carpet in the entryway of a house, it gets pretty tatty after years of use. I did buy some generic carpet spot cleaner at a big box store and used it on some other panels that had a bad spot or two. It worked well.
