Default Rubber trim part 987.555-787.00 but nowhere to be found

On the cayman’s interior there’s a black rubber trim (near where the top of the door window closes) that has broken tabs and even though I have the part number, can’t find it online, looking to replace both sides, only have one with the part number 987.555-787.00 has anyone replace these that may have a better part number or?

You'll probably find that it can only be had from Porsche bundled with the larger plastic piece it attaches to

@harveyf Yikes, hadn’t thought about that! Gonna fix the one I have, I may have actually thrown out the other side because it was in bad shape

You should be able to order these parts individually from any Porsche dealer.
Highlighted part in diagrams.

@ochristofferson excellent! Thanks for the diagram, it’s part #26, it’s probably the same for both sides. Thanks!

There are different PNs for left and right.
The left (driver's side) is 987.555.787.00, right side is 987.555.788.00
There may be later revisions than these - the last 2 digits are the revision level.

OP, going back to your original post. When you search for Porsche part numbers "on-line" you need to remember that some databases list them without the dots and dashes. Some list them with the spaces, as shown in the PET drawings above. Some do not. Try them both ways. But definately start by leaving out the dots and dashes. Ebay sellers can go a variety of ways. So if you aren't getting a hit, try the various formats.

Another problem is that the final two digits can effectively be a revision number. So what you see stamped on the part may have an earlier revision number than that part which is currently supported. Sometimes parts are superseded by a totally different number. Owen has correctly steered you in the right direction but remember, the dealership has the latest parts lists versus the ones we the public are provided for free.

I have found that all the "usual" dealerships that aggresively sell parts on-line will come up if you enter the part number in this fashion. There are several and many offer decent discounts.

The free Porsche PET documents for all Porsches are available at the link below, direct from Porsche.

This post should be a "Sticky"

I believe it is now 987 555 787 01. Readily available online multiple places.
For example: https://www.rosepassion.com/en/trim-P108813

Thanks guys, got around to ordering these and they’re great, about $11 each, so much better than the old ones 👍
