If Your CDR 24 Stops Working Will Porsche Replace It With MP3 Version???
My version of sterio will not play MP3. If the stereo had warranty issues I wonder if Porsche would warranty it by replacing it with the radio that were manufactured later in the 05 Model year that read MP3 cds???

I picked up my Cayman S today with the CDR-24. the salesman told me it was mp3 compatible but doesnt seem to play mp3's. the user manual has no reference to mp3's
has anyone else got a CDR24 working with mp3 cd's?

I think there is some confusion here with the terminology. The PCM unit will play a CD with .mp3 files in data format. The CDR-24 will only play a CD where the mp3 file has been burned in audio format (pretty much like a regular CD). This is touted as a feature only in that some CD players from the Paleolithic age can't play burned CDs.
The obvious benefit of data CDs being that you can fit a helluva lot more .mp3 files on a CD-R than audio files (80 minutes).

Can you elaborate how you're getting mp3's to play? It would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
