Default Pivoting Visors?

Does anyone know how I could modify/change the sun visors on the 07 Boxster so that they pivot? I have lived with a 97 for almost 5 years and then a 01 for 5+ being dazzled when the sun came through the passenger window. I'm hoping to avoid this next time. (In driving the 07, and seeing the visors still didn't pivot, I was surprised that after 10 years--at least--Porsche didn't know that Americans have peripheral vision.)

Thanks in advance for your help.

I test drove a Cayman S today and was surprised to see it has pivoting visors while the Boxster doesn't. It might be possible to replace the Boxster visor clip with the Cayman clip, but I have to wonder if it's that simple why Porsche didn't do that themselves.

It probably has to do with the car being a convertible. I would bet that the 997 cab doesnt have pivoting ones, either.

Surprisingly, my Carrera S cab does have the pivoting visors. I ran across this years ago with my 914. What? No pivoting visors? Apparently, Porsche long adherred to some internal rule about no pivoting visors for cabriolets,--except now for the Carreras.

Perhaps you can locate the pivot mechanism from a Carrera for your Boxster.

With the 986 people would damage the visor when putting up the top unless the visor was down. Breaking the morror cover comes to mind. Guess you would have more damage if the visor pivoted.

Never noticed the Cayman pivots. Going to have to take a look and see if that would work on a 987.
