Anyone have any recommendations on dealers that are willing to give a competitive discount on the price on a 07 Boxster S?

Looking for specific color/options on an order, really. I'm in no hurry. I would also look at lot cars if the price is right, but would rather order.

I'm hearing from the forums that 12% is a "invoice" discount. So I'm thinking that a 10% discount would be a good place to start...

Thoughts?

If you live in Scottsdale then you are going to have to go out of state to get a good deal. There is only one Porsche dealer in the Phoenix area and they know it. Stevens Creeks and Fletcher Jones in the SF Bay area will usually give decent discounts.

That seems to be the message I'm getting. They move LOTS of cars and I don't think I can get the price I'm looking for...

You might also check in the snow belt states. They would be highly motivated to sell a Boxster in the winter.

Have heard of several people on the west coast buying here in the northeast and shipping. Should be able to get a good deal on boxsters this time of year. Check inventory on the web and see if anyone has what you're looking for on the lot.

bought my '06s in the last days of march of '06. ended up being within a few hundred of invoice. did the whole thing over the phone, just showed up to pick it up. let me know if you're interested, i'll get you the contact info of the guy who sold me mine. (this is chicago 'burbs, fwiw)

You might try Rector Porsche in Burlingame, CA. (Just a little south of SF) Speak with Jennifer, she is very good to deal with and I got a good deal for my '06.
