Default Price of 2006/2007 CPO Caymans?

Anybody buy a CPO 2006 or 2007 Cayman S or base Cayman recently?

What are the prices or discounts these days? Im from north of the border so not exactly sure the going rate down south. I know some of you guys are getting great prices on new 2008s.

Just sold my E55, so my search for a car begins!

It seems like most of the Cayman activity/data is happening over at caymanclub.net. You might check there.

Thanks. I started browsing that site recently too.

Can a used CPO base Cayman (assuming modest specs but good condition) be had at $40k even or more close to low $40k?

The private party price of a non-cpo 06 Cayman S is at the very least going to be 45k if not high mileage (less than 20k). Adjust for mileage, non-S, cpo...

I've seen used 2.7 Caymans for low to mid $40k.

I bought a brand new 2007 base Cayman in January 2006 for $46k, before tax and license. An used one today for $40k sounds doable.

Good luck.

6 Caymans at $11,000 off of MSRP now for months, same stock numbers. I haven't visited the dealership each time I catch the ad to verify cars are still there though.

My local (Livermore CA) Porsche dealership has quite a few Caymans and Carreras and Boxster for sale.

I'm getting close to seeing what I can pick up a Cayman (new or used) for....

Fremont CA Porsche dealer has an '02 (red) Carrera for $35,988 (w/40,411 miles) that sounds kind of interesting too.

Lot of choices. Should be some deals to be had.

Sincerely,

Macster.

New to the board.....looking for a Cayman S from the Bayarea. Dealers are wheeling so be patient due to the slowing economy. Fremont and Stevenscreek have the best selection. Livermore internet manager was not willing to deal. Don't waste your time over there.

A base Cayman should be do-able. There are a couple with under 5000 miles near me, both priced at $44k. There are Cayman Ss in the mid-40s, but with daily driver mileages.

When should Cayman S's start coming off of leases? I would think that there would be more available around then, and the price would therefore drop.

I just checked Autotrader and there are several CS under $45k. Mileage varies but there's one with 22k miles with "asking" price of $41.8k. The economy is certainly impacting luxury cars. They'll be in the high $30's by end of year.
