Post Best Color Combos on 987 Boxster???

I am looking to start a discussion on people's thoughts and opinions on the best colors (exterior/interior) on the 987 Boxster's!
Any and all thoughts are encouraged....maybe even throw in some pics of some favorites for all to enjoy! What really looks the best on this car???

Hmm... sales kind of slow these days at Woodhouse Porsche? Seems like you have a lot of time on your hands to start a thread like this!

This is all subject to personal taste, of course, but I'm kind of partial to Atlas Gray, which works really well (IMHO) with Terracotta interior. On my 987S I ordered contrasting carpets and upper dash leather to break up the Terracotta a bit:

My first choice would be Lapis blue over a blue interior.

Second, and I have never seen it, is Carmine (Carmon?) red with a black interior.

WAYYY too many Porsches are ordered (including blue!) with yellow interiors! I will never see the attraction of a yellow interior or a colourless exterior (silver).

Ditto on the Guards Red with Balck interior - besides my 987S I see very few in that color...all I see are gray, silver, black - boring.

Default 2005 987

I like the Atlas Grey, although I think the biege or natural leather is a better combination. Overall I prefer the MidNight Blue Metallic with the natural leather.
Adam, nice wheels!

Looks great!

I also agree Guards Red with black interior is a Porsche classic, but I ruled that out when I ordered my 987S because I already have that on my 951.

if buying new and the combination is available (i bought used so no option) i would order the basalt black or midnight blue maybe even a cobalt blue with the terracotta interior, and as renn951, get the dash
top black

Terracotta sounds nicer to me than it looks.

In photos Terracotta often looks more orange than it really is. You really need to see it in person before making a judgment, and it also only goes well with certain exterior colors. Still, it's not for everyone, just like Guards Red and Speed Yellow exterior colors aren't for everyone. That's why dealers typically order "safe" exterior and interior combinations for their inventory.

Speaking of dealers, Adam from Woodhouse Porsche hasn't been back since he started this thread!
