Prom Night
Good Morning,
I am a teacher at the local high school here in Merrimack, NH. I attended our school's junior prom on Saturday night and had a blast! I went with one of the teachers I work with who also lives in town. After the prom was over I drove her back to her house in Merrimack. As I was leaving I had two kids in a 987-S in the new orange color blow by me on a double yellow on one of the worst back roads in town. They then proceeded to pass two more cars on the worse turn on the road. They blew through two stop signs and a red light later. I would be very interested in speaking with these kids and letting them know what they did was stupid and dangerous. I did not get the plate, but I am hoping someone on here might know the car and I figured they might like to know what their kids are doing with their $75K car. Events like this give all Porsche owners bad names. Thanks!

I don't know who is more stupid in this situation, the parents who let the car out to the kids, or the kids themselves?
The real question remains, Jay, how did the date with the teacher end?

Terrible story and you are right, they give not only Porsche drivers, but Teens a bad reputation. Then again, I see stupid antics in Hondas, Toyotas, Bimmers, etc. - no brand is immune.
I read the thread because my daughter will be taking our Boxster S to senior prom, but I do it without hesitation because I know her personality. There are some kids you shouldn't let drive at all, and others that you'd trust with your lives. She turns 18 this month and will be on the track at Watkins Glen at the end of the month at her 1st DE. Her brother is 2 years older and in Yellow.

^ can't make out the turn table, but it appears to be a benz micro on a SME IV arm?
anyways, kids will always be kids. and parents should whip them into shape. dad gave me a fast car 300Zx in 1984 or 86??? wash waxed it. took it out to "show off". you know how it goes.... well, came home after an accident... i didn't even make it to the party....
got my head chew'd off, and dad sold the 300Zx the 2nd day. boy did i learn the hard way... and i stopped "showing off" on public streets.
