Post Tubi Exhaust on 2009 Cayman S DFI with PDK

Hey guys,
Just wanted to share this with you since it's a pretty new setup: the Tubi exhaust for 2009 Cayman S models with DFI / PDK. A customer picked up this Cayman S in Texas and had it shipped directly to our facility for a handful of upgrades before he even saw the car, including EVOMSit software and the Tubi exhaust.

This is the first Tubi we've installed on a 2009 Cayman, and as you'll see it's a bit different than previous generations:

Off comes the big old stock unit:

The Tubi fits great, very nice compared to some exhausts we've tried:

One thing to note about this car was its lack of "Sport Chrono" option, even though it is an S model with PDK. This means the car does not have a Sport or Sport Plus transmission mode. This makes the PDK a lot less aggressive / fun than with the option, and with lower RPM / shift points, the exhaust is less exotic and ends up being lower pitch than with those modes.

If you buy a PDK Cayman, make sure you opt for Sport Chrono to unlock the great features of the PDK transmission! Hopefully we'll have a 6-speed or PDK Sport Chrono to test with this Tubi later, but so far the consensus is that the exhaust is lower-pitched and quieter overall than the previous generation when installed on this car.

is there any switchable feature you can overlay to quiten it down for those few times you need it?

PDK without sport chrono is just missing the boat - i agree with you 110%.

and, it does sound good so thanks for the clip.

Thanks and no unfortunately Tubi has not designed the system with any switch etc. to quiet the exhaust down as needed.

Weight savings is around 10 lbs. We did not dyno the system here, I will contact Tubi for specifics. The retail price is $3495 USD.

Dan, have you heard back from Tubi regarding any dyno results?
