Cayman- the neglected Porsche middle child
It seems that nothing really exciting happens to the Cayman. The 911's get all the best stuff. The Boxster gets some fun stuff. The Panamera gets all the ugly stuff. The Cayenne even gets some good stuff for its redesign. That leaves the Cayman.

Actually the Boxster gets stuff to catch up the the Cayman. The Cayenne has went to crap that or Hyundai took over the design, the rear end and those new tail lights are terrible. Keeping my 04, best of all the models rear tail lights in my opinion.
I would really like to pick up a Cayman but it would take to much $$ to make it equivalent to a GT3 and on a leased vehicle can't do modifications. The GT3 on the other hand is set to go and requires no mods, which is good for me and a lease.

Keep in mind that the Cayman seems to be the worst seller. Personally, I think it's a terrific car and I predict it will fetch good money years from now because it will be relatively rare (compared to all those Boxsters and Carreras).

With the new Cayman interseries starting to gain some strength, I think that we may see this model garner a bit more attention, but I think it is going to be a tough call for Porsche as the 911 has always been their flagship car. It will be interesting to see what happens though.

Maybe they're going a sort of "Glockler" direction with it, using a factory removable hardtop...
