Just a question, PTS is a go for the next 8 days for Spyder's (3/25). How many allocation are out there? Do you know if you local dealer has an allocation? It seems that new order allocations are few and far between now a days. It would suck if Porsche finally opens PTS but there are very few allocations available to take advantage of it.

agh, wish I heard about this a week ago. I already made up my mind (plat silver/carrera red). Order went in last Friday. Even if I can still change it, I hate back paddling. Was thinking about polar silver/black.

It is frustrating to have to pay that much more for a color currently available on other Porsche's.
So who's going for it!

Has anyone actually talked to a dealer about the PTS? I'm getting mixed responses on this for the Spyder.....

I suppose I don't count as I'm the source of this news.
My dealer sent me the news that was direct from the Porsche internal Dealer News Website. I copied it direct.
My dealer said they could get allocation for me if I wanted one. They require 10% down for PTS. It's a liability for them and I understand why the 10% is required.
Last year some one ordered a brown cayman that priced near 90k and the buyer bailed.
Personally I'm debating whether or not to proceed. I really wasn't anticipating this to be available so soon and in such a tight window of time.
Color is the question too. First thought was Suzuka Grey. It's a very light pearl grey Audi uses on it's RS models. I've had it before and love it. Imagine a pearl version of the 911 Sport Classic grey. Second option is to go more traditional and do something like the Detroit show car with Meteor Grey and red leather. Although it's looks great, I have a hard time spending $5500 for a standard Porsche color that's available on every model, but the Spyder.
I'm giving my answer to the dealer today, I'm split on the matter.

Which dealer are you working with? I ask because I contact Paul Miller in NJ and they were not aware of the option and were to check with PCNA to confirm

Sunset Imports here in Oregon. They are the dealer that I purchased my current Spyder from. I've been bugging them nonstop about this.

[QUOTE=Marine Blue;8394330]Or GT Silvers, stunning color!
It is frustrating to have to pay that much more for a color currently available on other Porsche's.

Especially for another shade of silver. GT silver is nice. But among all the silvers, polar, GT, platinum, or arctic, there really isn't a clear winner. I think I'll like my color combo of choice.

I think with the red interior, that is probably as wild as I am willing. For PTS, you almost have to go all out with the wildest colors to get your money's worth. Like the signal colors or mexico blue.
So is it really confirmed yet? Does anyone have a PTS order in?
