sorry, I'm a newbie, but I have to ask. Mobil1 is available everywhere, but I've been told to use Mobil1 'European formula' (not available everywhere) in my new-to-me 2008 987 S. Is this a critical difference?
Thanks
Jim

I'll second the LN Castrol edge rec; although for Tampa use they rec'd the 5-50. I've been using the LN oil filter adaptor on my 09 for about a year and I'm pleased. The filter is full flow and costs about $5. I change it every 2500 miles (15 minutes) and the oil and filter every 5000 miles.

Coincidentally, I was checking the recommended fill for my Audi A4 at the local Porsche/Audi dealer, and was told it was Castrol. I need an oil change on my Boxster soon, so I'll be interested to see what they want to replace the Mobil 1 with.
