Default Spyder at new Thunderhill 5 Mile course

I had a chance to try out the new 5 mile Thunderhill course. Man, 5 miles feels long. The new west side is difficult to figure out. The line is not intuitive or straight forward to me. I could never figure out the re-entry onto the old course. If anyone has any tips, I'm all ears. Video is of the last session of the day, lots of open space, but the 100 degree temps were brutal.

I love the unlimited run-off space on these western tracks.

What about the one turn where you run wide, then the tire wall pinches in? Not a problem?

It's a really slow corner and you don't have much speed entering it either, so I don't think you can get into much trouble there. At least, not with our cars.

I have to ask…what are you using to record the telemetry? (I'm sure that you have been asked a million times!)

Also…any work to the oil pan to ell manage the oil flow under the cornering load…or was that only needed on the older generation Bosxters?

AiM solo DL via direct CAN line connection.

No problems with oil pressure drop at all with the stock system. I've logged oil pressures on my car on NT01 tires as well as my friend's spyder on hankook z214 slicks carrying 1.5Gs and still no pressure drop. No oil issues in the 987.2 engines.

I did an HOD event of the "west course" only. Laps are about 90 seconds. It gets dizzying on a 30 minute session to do it that many times, but you're making up for lost practice (if you have 1000's of laps on the original course). It'll be fun to do the 5 miler soon and connect them up. The transitions from the old->new track did look difficult or odd to me, especially the downhill that cuts turn 9 out. Lots of speed downhill then an elbow at the end?

I bought mine from Jerry at Austin motorsports. I think his screen name here is amsco3? Did a group buy at the time and got good pricing.
