yep both places where you want as much grip as you can get and then some....particularly Blanchimont where its so flat and fast you feel like the car will simply slide off the track ...

That's why you have to just put the throttle down and use weight transfer to squat it through the corner. It's only about 210kph on exit lol

Trust me, it's a good driver that doesn't blow smoke out of his ***. If he says sub 2:40 possible, I believe him without a doubt. Traffic going to eau rouge / raidillon alone must account for something !

Race shop doesn't give out the exact spec sheet. It is a conservative geotune because I will be driving on sportcups and not slicks on trackdays and also on fun trips in the weekends.
More camber for sure, front toe open, rear toe closed, both arb still neutral. Ride height has dropped 7mm, caused by the camber changes not because they dialed it on the shocks if I'm not mistaken, not sure though.
This spec gave me back the clear communication, feeling and confidence in what the car is doing, something my car was lacking from the factory.
Sorry I couldn't be more helpfull !

My PI who drives for PAG did a 2:40 with passenger. He reckons 2:39 is possible but 2:38...hmmmmm. We will be back at Spa in June to find out. This time I will be bringing my GTR along too.

totally agree - in fact I think (for me at least) I find Blanchimont more scary than Eau Rouge !!!

I managed several 2.37 with a standard Cayman GT4 CS during the Sportscup race in September 2016. In quali the fastest guy Larry ten Voorde managed 2.33, he drives in the German Carrera Cup nowadays

Agree, once you work Eau Rouge out, its a doddle. But Blanchimont is another story.

i first raced at Spa a long time ago, when the circuit still turned back into public road at night (and the bus stop was a real bus stop!).
No run-off at Eau Rouge or Blanchimont then, and I always though B was worse. In some downforce/slicks cars it was just barely flat, and every lap you would turn in, knowing that you were going to exit with wheels on the grass if you got it right! Not far to the wall, and in the wet it was no fun at all.
Agree, ER was easier as you could see where you were going at least, even if there was little run-off there as well, and a lot bumpier.
A great circuit.

I was at Spa yesterday in the R. Lots of traffic, but did a 2.42 which I will post once Vbox footage edited. 156mph at end of Kemmel
2.41 def possible in R, as I wimped out of first part of Blanchimont after a big tank slapper a lap or so before!
New GT3 defo well sub-2.40 on that basis.
two tanks of fuel, one trashed set of Cup 2s (older spec)

A friend of mine collected his new 720S the day before, and did a 2.34 in traffic, with predicted 2.32.8! On Corsas not Trofeo R. Crazy fast car. 182 mph on Kemmel. 918 was 177mph when i drove it there.

Edited to add: just checked and the aforementioned wimping out was worth 0.45s over the previous tank slapper lap! Should have been low 2.42 and ultimate pace I'd say maybe 0.5s +/-quicker than that. mid to high 2.41s. R is rapid enough!

As I said before, sub 2.40 on a 991GT2mkII is certainly possible for an amateur driver.
