When they get about 6k miles on them they go through a full service to refresh all the wear items and then the dealers fight for them. They go on dealer lots and are sold with warranty. They do take care of the cars really well. I have personally witnessed them breaking the GT cars in by the book, they get serviced appropriately, and have the front ends PPF'd. PSDS is a first class operation. The only cars I would be concerned about are the manuals....definitely would want a DME on one of those. Saw a new Carrera S having the engine replaced from a money shift when I was in for service not long ago.

The first class I attended back in the day had a brand new 997.2 GT3 and no one but the lead instructors were aloud to drive it because they were doing the proper break-in. This also tells me there must be real importance on the procedure or why would they waste the time on a car that will be sold in 10 months time.

The dealers many times don't know, or won't disclose to any buyers about any specifics on the history of these cars.

I have completed a 2 day Master Plus(Great fun) and a 1 day R Control class....
I was told they go straight to track abuse after a 300-500 break-in.
I was also told no "EXTRA" maintenance other than tires, brake pads and topping off fluids.
The turbos and GT3s I drove all had PCCBs brakes. The instructors really didn't understand why....because of the replacement cost....even suggested it was a mistake.
Love the classes....bought a C2S right after...
So much so(Expensive class)...because now I have a 2018 GT3 coming in December!!!!!
I do have to call out the classes....They don't manage tire pressure throughout the day.
My GT3 was almost 50 PSI

God, I want to do this next year so bad! The GT3 I bought back in March was owned by one of the instructors there. I'd love to get to spend a day or two learning from him in one of those cars on Barber.

I was at barber for a two day course last August. While we were there they had fresh 718 boxster s delivered. No break in period, straight to the track. The car I was around 13 miles on it when I started my morning session. I asked about break in period and the instructors told me, nope.
But they do meticulously maintain their cars.
