Default Trailer Tie Down the 991.2 RS

How are you tying down your RS when transporting in a trailer? My 996 GT3 has eyes bolted to the suspension front and rear. When the 2019 RS is transported to and from the dealer they go through the wheels. Does someone make suspension eyes similar to what can be used on the 996 and 997? What are your experiences?? (and if there is a thread I can't find, point me in the right direction)

I use the Rennline tie downs on a .1 RS. Fronts are easy to use, rears are a rather long reach to attach, may be even more difficult with the .2's new rear diffuser getting in the way of clearance.

I have Rennline on the front jack points and in the rear at the subframe.
I can reach them, but it takes some care when the car is still hot, and I have the diffuser.

After a long drive over bad roads, I had an issue with trailering the car with tie downs at the wheel: https://rennlist.com/forums/991-gt3-...railers-2.html

I tried the Rennline tie downs, but didn't like the idea of permanently covering the front jack points or unbolting/bolting bolts on the subframe. I ended up with these instead: https://parts.ectts.com/towing-t-hoo...k-ba-products/ . Easily and securely hooks into the holes at the jack points,, easily removed when done.

So you're using these on the rear jack points also??? I was using these on my 2016 Viper ACR and they worked well.

Yes, both front and rear jack points.. Goes right in when needed, comes right off when done

Just ordered 5 from Mac's. They charged $10 shipping. The other supplier mentioned wanted $32 for the same shipping. Just an FYI.

Certainly not recommended, and should be only used as a safety backup.
