I don't believe it's artwork personally, but I'm sure people do. It's an opinion. Just like your opinion thinking it is ugly. I actually like the Spyder proportions better and the price. I will definitely be getting one.

I also think the Mona Lisa is an ugly pic, but it still seems to be worth a couple dollars.

The Speedster is Porsche's version of the Emperor's New Clothes and always has been. They seem to be able to convince people that it's beautiful, even though they tend to be pretty hideous.

The same people who buy this probably dropped $175k on an i8 Roadster as well.

That's just cruel.

I would pay $200K for a Speedster - all day long. I actually really like it. After that price, i would start to lose interest - would look at alternatives e.g. Maclaren 600LT, 675LT, 458, 488 ,, to name a couple open tops..

That math would make sense if everything about the car was identical to the GT3 Coupe, except for the 10hp extra...

money grab abomination made for dealers to rake in the cash. if you believed Porsche for a second when they said they were not happy with dealers marking up the 911R, you are not paying attention..

Should be a 200k car, porsche charge the 100k ADM themself, yet still can't stop flippers from flipping, maybe next time porsche will bump up the factory ADM to 200k and see what happens

The car is certainly expensive but demand is very strong - the ADMs are real.

Honestly- haven’t even tried to get an allocation. Have zero interest in this car at the price they are asking and even less so after seeing it in person.

what I have heard in the past was some dealers asking 150k over and I just rolled my eyes but for 300k plus I have 20 other cars I would rather buy.

Wow, I likeke likeke the red, and that background... a Speedster shrine!!! At $225K base plus options and reasonable ADM, I'll go for one. But not at current market price. Would you buy a 911R at $300K or a Speedster at $500K, don't forget there'll be twice as many Speedster out there?

Great thread.

The nice thing about having a minor bit of success, and a little money to burn is you dont care what others think. This provides great latitude to do things because you dont care. Really. You simple do.

One mans trash is another mans art.

Beautiful thing.
