Saw this in Monterey- I’m struggling to understand it
I mean the touring is a work of art- the way it drives, the manual and the bucket seats. Phenomenal car.
The RS is a masterpiece on the track and it looks amazing.
and then you have this- the Speedster. A Gt3 without a roof. Manual is nice but power is no more than a regular gt3.
All for for a whopping 274k base msrp- roughly a 125k more than a regular gt3.
”limited”
ADM I’ve heard as much as 150k making it a 500k car.
i saw it and thought it looked downright ugly. Zero chance I would pay anywhere close to the money they are asking and yet people are lining up for one.
To make it more appealing, they paint it in this hideous silver and white combo.
Be honest- if this was a regular production car like a Panamera or a regular Carrera S, would you really spend 300-500k on this thing??

Name another NA, 6MT, convertible on the market?
It's a unicorn in a herd of horses.

I wouldn't, just because I'm generally not a convertible guy like yourself, but that doesn't mean that there are many that are.

I get different things appeal to different folks. Im just not getting the 300k+ price tag on this thing. Have all these sold? Haven’t even followed the market on this.

If you are not a convertible person, you just won’t understand. Is it insanely expensive at sticker? Yes. Is the ADM nuts? Yes. Do I still want a convertible GT3? Yes! Will I end up with one? Not until the price comes down.

The numbered car (and to a lesser extent limited edition) Porsche thing is simply different. Normal car-guy logic just doesn’t apply. It’s matchbox cars for really rich dudes.

For the price I don't see the point, my opinion is the GT3 is better value and just as much fun sans the drop top. Personally I think the 718 GT4 in the background is more interesting

Agreed. Does nothing for me at the price point. Price it like a normal GT3 and then it gets in the conversation. Don’t really care about the limited run all that means is no one will drive them to any significant mileage.

Not a speedster fan at all... What I luv though, all these guys with gt3rs, gt2rs, etc are now moving those cars for the speedster, I'm in the gt2 market and luv it and honestly thankful s it has made them drop significantly.
