991.1 gt3 SPRING CHANGE

The .2 RS has stiffer springs with helpers and the strut towers are identical to the .1 GT3/RS. So long as is kept to rates no higher than those, would think the risk of damage is low. For a little bit more reinforcement (though likely very marginal) can use the cup car strut reinforcement plates.

Yes there is a lot of benefit from changing the spring rates on the 991.1 cars to a stiffer spring. If you have some time before you are ready to make this modification stay tuned as currently there is an amazing suspension package that is in development that is going to make the 991.1 cars an amazing car all around.
keep me in mind when you have the details on the new suspension.

991.2 OEM Shocks max spring rate
Bringing back an old thread. Does anyone know the acceptable spring rates for 991.2 GT3. I am going back to my OEM shocks and thinking or running 100 and 160 (approx 560 and 896 in/lbs) with my DSC.

Also if someone can kindly share the PN of the .2RS springs and the plate that needs to be replaced so springs can be used on a .1 GT3 and keep the same ride height.
Thanks.
Thanks.

So, let's end the mystery.
The .2 RS parts:
Rear springs set: 991 333 531 70 504
Front main spring set: 991 343 531 71 504
Front helper spring: 991 333 537 70
Intermediary ring between the springs: 991 333 511 71
Rear helper spring is the same as .1 GT3
Not sure about what the"federteller" refers to, but the red top mounts(the red rings) have the same PN as the .1 GT3. My best guess is the white Teflon looking ring in the picture shared above on an RS setup.

I imagine this setup would be underdamped if you didn't also upgrade the shocks.

Just get a set of springs from Tarret or BBi - They're like $1000 which seems pretty cheap for a solution that's already been worked out for the 991 GT3 to increase the spring rate. If you are going to do the swap you still need a quality balance and alignment. Unless you have a high-quality alignment rig and know how to do this yourself (unlikely) you are going to need help. Ideally you have a shop with local track or racing experience with the 991 platform that can help you match your springs to your setup.
