why does it seem like mike valentine finally got up from his lazy-y-boy sitting on the rear deck of his yacht after a decade-long cruise, checked his cashflow finally dry up after 30+ years, rounded off the edges of the casing and said "here ya go, i've heard you have the internet now.. anyway, here you go, now send me some more money bitchaas"

Uniden R7 seems like the best one made from what I'm seeing. Would love to see a comparison before I buy one.

I'll upgrade if they fix their laser false alarms with newer Mazdas and Volvos, but it doesn't seem like they've addressed that. Hopefully they've fixed the K band false alarms with Acuras, Hondas, and Mazdas with this new version at least.

Mine just arrived. I'm a big V1 fan. Tried all different sorts of radar detectors, but I still find the arrow warning system in the V1 to be the best in the business.

The V2 is still archaic with no lcd/led screen, gps, double suction cup mount etc. Still looks like it's from the 1990's. Furthermore they got rid of their best selling feature which is the volume ****.
Radenso pro theia should be the next big thing.

I'll be interested to see what Vortex says about the V2 in their reviews. I love my R3's and it would need to be compelling to switch. FWIW - I chose the R3 over the R7 only because of form factor. I like the smaller box.

Longtime V1, still use it in the winter vehicle, but have the R7 in summer vehicle, and it's been great.

Does the App give you anything more than the display or does it only make remote mounting easier?
I have found that I'm depending on WAZE more than my V1 these days

I like the Escort Max 360. I have the Mute switched wired in multiple cars and just move it a round.
It has saved my butt on multiple occasions. Glad they have the arrows like the Valentine
Heard good things about Uniden but if it ain't broken no reason to switch
