I just got back from Sebring. PBOC had a 3 day event. At Sebring, it is usually with Suncoast PCA, PBOC or Chin. We are going to Roebling in October with Citrus PCA. Hoping to go to Road Atlanta and Barber this year. Next year, I want to go to VIR again and COTA. How about you?

I had to miss that PBOC event that just passed due to work so I was bummed. I normally do all the PBOC events I can in Florida. That is my favorite group and I have been with them for many years. I always do Winterfest in January. I normally do PBOC, PCA, and CHIN. I love Super Solo with PBOC is great again now that they are being more strict with who they let in again. CHIN red group is also great. I am an instructor with PBOC and PCA. I have not done Roebling yet. I love Barber in Leeds, Alabama. Been there a few times with PBOC. Still trying to get up to Road Atlanta. We have a group of us that go to these events. 3 GT3s and 2 M3s. I absolutely eventually want to do VIR and COTA as well. We have a friend out in Austin that has been singing its praises as a track.

It's always good to connect with fellow enthusiasts to share notes on tires, brakes, aero, etc. It's amazing how many combos there are out there. It would be great to compare notes on lap times based on the setup. We are better together!

Definitely would enjoy meeting you. I will be at Winterfest in January for sure. I am still in Solo and my best time is 2:20. I am sure you are in the teens. PBOC is talking about adding other tracks to the schedule and they added a "Pink" group this past event only for women. I asked my daughter if she wanted to do it so we bought a 335is and got it ready with suspension, big brakes, etc. She had a great time and will definitely be doing it again when her schedule permits as she is a student at UF. Go Gators! LOL.
I'll be looking out for another chalk RS this January at Sebring.

That's a great time in Solo. You must be running by everyone. We are consistently 2:18s, or low 2:19s, and sometimes dip into 2:17 here and there. 2:17 is my best time there in this RS. I can do a couple in a row before traffic sets in.

That is hilarious because my daughter is also at UF(Junior - Computer Science) and she keeps threatening me that she wants to drive the RS at the track! Wife is also a Gator.

Very cool. My daughter is a freshmen. She is majoring in Biology and planning on going to Veterinary school afterwards. Originally, she wanted to drive my RS but I decided against that. I think after being on the track she realized why it was a better idea to drive the 335is. It is a great platform. I will probably track it some and give my RS a break.

Yes. I have a good time in the Solo group. I don't have to give many point by's. :-)

Impressed with the AP Racing brakes. They have incredible bite. Also have recorded significant decrease in rotor/caliper temperatures compared to PCCB's as well as more stable tire pressures.

I didn’t track my car before I removed the PCCB’s so I can’t compare the two, but the AP Racing brakes have never disappointed. We’ve put about 3000 track miles on them, I’ve replaced the front rotor rings, and about 4 sets of pads (DS3.12) all the way around.
An expensive upgrade, but I’m very happy with them.

Winterfest will have up to 5 day Solo package. I think 3 days is enough for me. LOL.

Back to the tire size topic, I have been using slicks on the GT2RS and the 991 Turbo for few years, in hillclimb and time attack, Pirelli DH/DHA 275/675 front and 315/705 rear with no problems at all.

Bought a set of Michelin 28/69 fronts and they don’t fit at all, turns out their real diameter is more like a 71.. so don’t try them out.

Michelin 19” 24/65 is the largest you can go upfront within that brand..

Hello, finally picked up a set of Forgeline 19's and will run R7's 265/35 F 325/30 R.

With the set mounted the RS is definitely lower and I am wondering if I need to make an adjustment to rear ride height (21 to 19 inch rim)? The car certainly sets differently, but looks like the RS pics in this thread.

Appreciate the advice!

I'd be carefully about changing the ride height in the rear.

I run 295/30/19 Front / 345/30/19 Rear Hoosier R7 and they fit perfect.

You'll find that the 265/325 run fine but the larger 345 rear gives the car much better stability and confidence getting on throttle.

Thats the root of my question. 20 to 19 is 1 inch drop up front and 21 to 19 is 2 inch drop in rear. On the RS the net is 1 inch lower in the rear vs stock. Maybe this is a better track specific geometry for the RS?

Going to give these widths a try before going wider.

This is the 20" set. It is the same as stock offsets but did 20" all around instead of 20" and 21" respectively. See attached XLS.
Have you tried the P285/30ZR20 R7 in the front yet? From your XLS file showed you ran 265/335 R7 on 20's. Just want to see if 285 in the front will work.

For those of you who went with the 19" wheels on PCCB's have you had any scraping damage to the front wheels due to debris being picked up?

Is it hard to get the wheels on and off and not ding the caliper or rotor?

Almost all running 19s on oem pccb calipers are seeing both caliper and rim barrel damage. It’s mostly cosmetic. No real issue removing wheels if you’re careful.
