I'll add to the rumor mill by throwing Targa GT3 into the mix.

I do like the look and size of the Spyder than the Speedster but after owning a couple manual 991.2 GT3 and loved the NLS, I don't want to live w/o it in the Spyder, so if no NLS, then no car for me.

It is not just the engine, although that is the heart of it. It’s more the way each aspect of the car is suited and balanced to the rest. Handling and suspension is magic, especially surprising in a convertible. Sounds terrific. Gearing is perfect. Car loves to rev. The overall focus on simplicity and pure driving experience. A great (Street) drivers car in every way. Has to be one of the best 911’s ever made.

sorry for the very dumb question. I never noticed the speedster shift **** was
different... seems even nicer than the 991R. Is that part of heritage package? Very nice and GLWS!

It will be announced in a couple of months time. Basically, it's the Spyder version of the GT4RS.

As for the ultimate version of the 718 Spyder platform, that won't be introduced until 2022.

That's one of the many projects that Motorsport is toying with at the moment, not confirmed.

Great info!
Thanks!

Any idea if the GT4RS or Spyder RS will be PDK or PDK-S or manual and any info on the gearing?

Isn't the Trage version always the heaviest version of 911's? If so, the Targa GT3 will be a porker.
Also hope the GT4RS convertible can be had with a stick.

[QUOTE=Nizer;16748209]+1 on edgy. The problem with refined is that they quickly bore. Fine for daily driving but not as an escape vehicle.

Throw on some Dundon headers/exhaust. Add 50lbs of torque, 20hp and an insane scream with the top down. It definitely puts some serious edge on the speedy. I find the car was built playful for the road and the extra low end opens her right up.

Love my Speedster its literally my only non-Ferrari/Alfa and its a blast. I really wanted a CGT but just could not find a nice Canadian spec and i am a sucker for the stitched/painted vents.
