Just need to combine the 520hp engine (with ITB's) from the Euro .3 RS, SMFW from the R (find a way not to break crank), use the Manual gearbox from the .2 GT3, the lightweight chassis and interior from the R, and add 3RS suspension components and Mag wheels from the 2RS

Are the ITB's worth the power band or completely unnoticable?

The RS is all about The PDK and how it imparts action to the driver.
I drove one at PEC day and it was amazing and fun - but it was odd always having both hands on the wheel....

I have heard some say that they can not really tell a difference.

I would like to wait longer on the ITBs because some one posted a bunch of the 991.3 RSs were failing at a track. Need more details on this one.

This is the first time I've heard of ITBs for these cars and the notion that there's a 991.3 version of the RS. Were these not for US bound GT3/RS?

The ITB version of the RS never came here, but the Speedster has the same motor with 10hp less (that did come here)

For me.. I have longed for an open top MT, NA car and this one hit the mark. The Speedster is a treat and I hope to be able to keep this car and hand it down to my kids one day. Its probably one of the most special Porsche's I have ever bought.

The article is spot on

i can’t post it enough on rennlist

The speedster is to me the best all around 911 I’ve ever owned or driven

Yes I’m keeping the RS4.0 forever but the speedster may end up with most miles on it of any car I own. I just can’t stop grabbing the keys and frankly my desire to buy more cars has disappeared (for now lol)

For me, the ITB is very noticeable. Definitely smoother, faster throttle response. I can't imagine why it might cause 991.3 failures. Got a link to that thread please?

The perfect California car. Now all you need to do is to ship yours to Cali when the winter hits!

It's noticeable in the higher rpm, where it allows you to stay within the higher rev bands easier and more precisely.

For those that don't want to pay $300K for a Speedster, there's hope for a 992 Touring Cab, and I'll take one w/ a 2" higher windshield (than the Speedster's) for $100K less.

I just don't foresee Porsche watering down the GT cars to the point of having a GT3 Touring Cab. Will PDK be offered as well?! And with back seats? Where does Porsche draw the line? Is the GT division really going to become a "lifestyle" brand where every model has a GTS and a "GT3" - Macan, Cayman, Panamera, etc? I predict the only open-top GT car will remain the Speedster. No cab, no Targa.
