Is your harness bar/cage quiet?

Just to add a data point, The GMG LMS bar I installed myself is quiet. I remember there a few noisy BBI bars reported in other threads. Maybe it has to do with the installation?

My Competition Motorsports bar is quiet with no issues. Used for about 13 track days now.

I smashed an order button last night on the Supreme Power cage in red powder coat. Will advise back on the experience first hand but it's apparently very quiet as well and a simple install process.

Hi All
I have the GMG LMS bar which I installed myself. No squeaking. Installed with anti seize on the joints and bolts. Maybe this helps. Car is driven and tracked.

I just wanted to follow up here. I posted in my mod journal thread but that isn't as searchable as a thread like this for future forum users.
I went with the Supreme Power harness bar in Guards Red. The bar showed up quickly, was priced awesomely (thanks Eric @ Supreme Power ) and fit great.
So a couple things:
- The bar bolts to existing holes/bolts strut tower bolts (that are slotted) and lower tub bolts (that are slotted). That makes the fitment so awesome if tackling by yourself.
- The seats do NOT have to come out if you have sofa seats. I just put the seats all the way forward and folded and extended to top height. Plenty of room for you to straddle the tunnel and install the bar.
- The bar is quiet and does not make a peep. No creaks, squeaks, nothing...which is exactly what I was after.
- Sofa seats have full adjustability and do not come in contact with the bar. Buckets would have gobs of room behind them.
- I installed this by myself in about 1.5 hours with hand tools and taking pictures. Easy breezy...

What the bar looks like installed in mine:

Sorry for bumping an old thread… but anyone with GMG cage… have you figured out what’s actually causing the noise? I recently installed mine… and every so often, I hear a metal creek. It’s clearly coming from the passenger side.
I double and triple Checked every bolt… and surrounding area. Nothing is touching it. I even took the passenger seat out and the rear foam cover to see if there will be a clue… but nothing.
It only happens on bumps, and it seems to me it’s the cage itself… only explanation I could come up with is that it somehow, flexes where it bolts together. Those bolts are tight and there’s no flexing that I can make with my hand…
Curious if anyone else had any thoughts?
Thanks!

I have the same GMG LMS bar as the OP and it's been quiet. When I first installed it, it made a ton of noise, and then I realized that I didn't torque down the front-most bolts (the ones that mount on the vertical portion where a rear passenger's knees would be). Once I torqued that down, quiet. Of course the harnesses themselves make noise if you don't have them buckled to the camlock, especially if you're using the eyebolts/clips.
I actually picked the GMG because I liked that it mounted on top of the strut. Even though that's a more painful install, I figured maybe it would add meaningful rigidity. All things being equal anyways. It felt like there were many very similar bars and it was easy to have decision paralysis.
