Default GT2RS / 935 CS Splitter on GT2RS

Thought i would share some details for those looking for more downforce (DF)... fyi, the gt2rs has about 20--25% less DF than the 991.2 gt3rs. Big issue i had, didnt like turn 1 at laguna seca, car would shift over about 1.5 cars at 150-155mph where as the Mclaren 720 (similar and higher speed) and the gt3rs (slower speed by 20 MPH) no issues. I spoke to porsche motorsports, the fella who did the gt2rs suspension, Manthey and many notable names. Besides sending the car out of country to have the manthey kit installed there was simpler options. Many of the manthey parts are available through the motorsports division and i have several owners source parts for me. Ultimately, the car will put down about 15% more down force and actually produces less overall drag and clocks 130mph straights and corners 2-5mph faster, so pretty good deal.

Im sharing details of only the splitter here, install was reasonable with the porsche docs. Consider: remove wheels, front fender liners, front bumper, stock plastic splitter. Install, consists of, pushing the front splitter down a bit while installing the front fender lines and then closing everything up. The tension wires are simple, just back the nut off and apply tension to the cable, should be tight, no official word from porsche on how tight as its adjustable and after adjustment, lock the nut down.

Enjoy the pics... couldnt get a good overall pic but there is one from the CS gt2rs.

Congrats, just got the same motorsport part for my car, but not installed yet.. What I am curious about are the two add-ons on the corners of the splitter, looks like an SRO Motorsports kit?

On the picture of the CS car that attach to the front plastic lip? If so, those are add-ons, SRO...

Totally, definitely less restrictive and will move a lot more air. Incredible when u compare the stock plastic pieces vs the CS carbon one. For those developing those flat splitter, u gotta think there is an advantage to these motorsport parts. If u look at more recent cars, 992 gt3, etc u can see the focus on the underbody is significant.

Motorsports part so u need to own a chassis to order, from the gt2rs CS or 935. That said, part # 9F0825229B. Then a bunch of speed screws, the locking type. U can also source through the Manthey official kit if u have access but it is only sold in the complete kit.

That made me cringe . . . . .

I've been moved around around there a few times at much slower speeds then you're doing when there was a tail wind and it's very disconcerting. Hopefully you can sort that out with those mods!

Yeah, tough spot with those speeds, traffic is rough too... Can't see anything so worried and take it slower.

Will you be adding the MR wing or similar to balance out the newly added front downforce?

Argg, lost my previous post... Yes, taller wing uprights, rear tail lip and gurney flap, front underbody strakes all tested during some dedicated single car testing at Laguna back in may for a couple days. Was really fun and honestly made a difference, felt planted. The front slitter and some additional underbody work in the mid section, similar but more advanced than the 992 gt3, is coming this month along with a complete cleanup of the rear diffuser. This as a whole should keep things balanced and planted. I will be testing in early Dec.

Camber is 2.6-2.8f and 2.3-2.5 rear, slight lowering of 5mm and balanced rake.

Should be fun.

Do you guys have any pictures from those side pieces that attach to the splitter? Assuming these help with front DF? Where do you get them?
