Thats a great car! Happy it went to a fellow Rennlist member! Funny Story... I'm assuming this was the Pompano Beach car? I had a deposit on that car last week and they sold it out from under me because my salesman apparently didn't communicate with others that it was taken.
No worries though, I found another one quickly. Hope you enjoy it and rip it on the track!

A bit of a cryptic conversation here but there are different generations of the G engine. 2016’s came with Gxxxx which was later updated which is the most desirable (e.g. reliable) version. Lots of info in this site re the different iterations.

Congrats! It's a next level car!! Coming from ///M cars, the Porsche tax is real! Get ready to shake your head anytime you either fix or modify it.
It's super reliable, and you can just get in and drive it!! Track consumables are expensive, and tires do not last. I go through 3 sets of tires a year (AX and track)

If you are a DIY'er, make sure you get good jack stands, and all the tools to change out the tires, lots of info about it.

For me, the thing that bugged me the most about the 991.1...
1. No backup camera (I added one)
2 No CarPlay (added one with the camera)
3. Audio and handsfree phone suck (upgraded speakers)
4. Lots of white noise while driving and not the good kind (added sound deadening)
5. Exhaust is not loud enough in the cabin ( added Dundon)

But I love my car, and also came from a long list of ///M cars. I spent a lot of time and money to make the cars as good as a stock GT3. But I do miss my E60 M5 with the V10, but don't miss working on it.

Looks like a great car. Should provide lots of fun for years to come. You will learn a ton as you get familiar with it and read through rennlist. Enjoy!
