Default Nankang cr-s tires

Hi guys have a question for people that have run the nanyang cr-s. I put front 245/35R20 and rear 305/30R20 tires on my stock 991 rims. The outer lip looks normal but the inner lip looks off. I didn't pick up my wheels from the shop but when I went to mount the wheels on the the car I saw this and called the tire shop. He assured me that this is normal and that it is because there isn’t a rim guard built into the inner side of the tire. All four wheels look the same.
I have a friend that has run then and he had the same lip showing on his rims. I think he runs bbs fir wheels.
I just wanted to see if you guys have seen this.

This is how mine are as well. When I place the wheel down on the ground, the actual wheel makes contact with the floor. Just be careful when laying them down. Other than that, a great track tire that is still streetable!

Yes, without the rim guard the lip is right there, and also the tire is quite square.
However, the inside should not be like that. It's almost like the tire is not totally seated on the rim.
My inside looks just like the outside.

Don't have pics of the inside, but yes, same tires.

Interesting. Mine also look like the pics shared above with a visible lip from @TPG . They've been through 17 hard heat cycles at the track (picture was prior), so if they weren't seated right, I suspect I would be acutely aware of it by now. I certainly wont claim to be an expert, though.
