1.2 VS .2 aesthetics only battle
Now that the .2 GT3’s have been out for a few years and there’s been enough time spent around both generations, I’m curious to see what the design language sentiment is.
Anyone prefer the .1 to the .2? Vice versa and why?
Personally- I’m torn. While I do like the .2 taillights but the .1 front. I think overall the .1 will age better in Porsche terms as it’s softer and less edgy. The .2 looks modern, amazing and chiseled. The .1 is still modern yet with a charming softness to it, like a well sculpted statue.

I like parts of the.1 and parts of the .2. I actually prefer the .2 front end but I know most people like the lines of the .1. I like the single intake on the deck lid on the .1 but prefer the .2 outlet that’s part of the deck lid.
Total package I’ll take the .2 though. I actually think the .2 will age better because it stands out more.

.1 RS for sure is the best looking. The scoops, front bumper, and rear bumper all flow better for me. Also not a fan of hood vents on .2RS
regular GT3 I think both look great

I prefer the .2 due to the fog lights being in line with the air inlets and the tail lights on .2 looks better as well. The whole design flows better overall. Feels like the .2 really is the evolution of .1 and some details that were overlooked have been corrected.
On the 997 the .2 gen looked more polished as well. On the current 992 gen 1 I really don’t like the overlong front bumper design either, I’m sure Porsche will fix it for gen 2

LOL. Maybe I'm biased as stated above, but I do believe the front end of the 991.2 GT3 looks better. The rest of the car is pretty much the same, but that front end makes the aesthetics of the whole car flow so much better.
