Sell 991.2 GT3RS WP and get 991.2 Speedster?
Hi,
Is it a good idea to sell the 991.2 GT3RS WP and buy a 991.2 Speedster?
I also have a 991.2 GT2RS but the GT2RS and GT3RS are completely different cars. I fear that I will regret selling the GT3RS.

A real apples and oranges question for sure. I sold my 991.2 GT3 and bought a Speedster and it was absolutely the right decision for me. I didn’t track the GT3, and the experience of open air driving with a GT3 engine is intoxicating. I couldn’t be happier. The Speedster has much better road manners (ride just feels a bit more compliant) than the GT3 and I’m sure that is even more pronounced than the GT3RS. It sounds like you have a stable of amazing track cars, so depending on how you drive it might be nice to diversify a bit.

I faced your same situation 2 years ago as I didn’t track my RS much due was the constraint, and I love the the open top with a GT3 engine which is amazing. The Speedster engine is the same that was carried over to the 992 GT3, and I’ve had zero regrets.

Your license plate on the LT made me chuckle which means it's a good one.

Sweet 675LT! I’m considering selling my 3RS WP for a spyder 600LT, 675LT, or 720S. I’m afraid I will miss the RS, as I’m not a turbo fan in general and it’s my only Porsche. I don’t track the RS and find it too clinical with little emotion at street speeds. However, I do love the rawness and sound. Will I regret moving to a Mac? Thanks for any input or suggestions.

I’ve had my 675LT for close to 3 years and I’ve never owned a sports car this long as I enjoy in that much. When I had my RS it sat vs my driving the 675LT, and that’s why I wanted a Speedster it’s a GT3 car with softer suspension with open top bonus. I’ve enjoy my 675LT rawness more than any GT Porsche driven and the includes the GT3RS, and Turbo S, and again just my personal experience ……something about a high powered V8 is just magical. Good luck on your choice, and my order of presence would be 675LT, 600LT, 720S last while being the faster of the 3 just didn’t do it for me raw speeds is not always exciting vs the sum of feel, sound, and many other intangibles. Good luck.

I miss the look and sound of the UV lots of mechanical noises. .2 was good just didn’t track it much as needed so it was a waste, and needed a better owner to drive it more. 675 has 3 setting soft or super still, and middle is a balance, and Speedster best Porsche I’ve own so far fun to drive at all time. Firmness I love on track, 675 on track mode will rattle your body and no insulation fun car (:

First, I’m a “die hard” Porsche guy will always have one in the garage. Some like to daily drive GT cars, me not so much better fun on the track on mountain roads if applicable. I had a 720S loaner OMG it’s crazy fast, but I couldn’t wait to get my 675LT back because it’s raw like a GT car but enjoyable at low speeds because of torque and 666 HP doesn’t hurt either rev’ing to 8500 RPM and under 2900 lbs. I think for LG cars are sleeper classics and Mclaren puts a lot of work into the LT cars while being low production.

[QUOTE=991C2S88;18184114]Thanks for the feedback. Curious if you’ve ever owned a Performante by chance? I’m also considering a Performante spyder and am curious how it stacks up against the 675LT. Thanks![/QUOTE
Never owned one but driven one it’s a killer car and super raw, and the V10 is magical. Now the BUT, I’m 6 feet 3 inches so me in that car is a no-go. If I had to choose me personally I like the 675LT that much, and the only car I almost traded it for was a 765LT deal just fell through I’m not a ADM guy rather wait it’s all timing on cars.
