I had a similar issue on my first GT3. I could not break it with the Precision Instruments breaker bar. I'm 5'6" and was using the roughly 3.5' breaker bar. My 6'6" buddy came over with an 8' breaker bar. He broke it loose quick and easy with that combo.

That was right when I got my first GT3. I have never had the issue again, as I maintain the CL mechanisms properly.

try and do short jerky pulls up. Almost like a jerking motion (think impact wrench action). Don’t just try sustained pull.

Absent the above recommendations, try to borrow a torque multiplier. Most truck garages have them and might be willing to lend it to you.

I have the renntorq and I maxed it out at 700 foot pounds. Plus tried a 4 foot breaker bar with all of my weight on it still no luck .carl

Like others suggested, try lifting the bar using your legs, not pushing it down. It’s safer that way anyway. Also try extending the handle it using a pipe or a floor jack handle. An extra foot is all you need. Can you get someone to help you?

I bent my breaker bar getting one of the wheels off on the weekend so careful.

Before I got the torque multiplier I used a six foot pipe extension on a HF type breaker bar. Bent it up a lot. I don't really know the conditions that make that nut so hard to loosen, but do know it can take 600+ ftlbs to loosen at times.

That was my concern with this tool. My torque multiplier maxes at 1200 fp. A truck garage will have a larger capacity tool.

Careful, unless they have changed the design in V2, you can destroy the tool with too much torque applied above Manufacturers recommendation. There were some folks that did just that with the V1 version. Perhaps, the seller can answer the question before you explode the RT multiplier.

the 1 inch high torque impact is what we use on the gt3 cup.

Don’t do that on the road cars! Definitely will destroy the bolt and locking mechanism (not found on the race cars).

Just read through your thread on the 992 forum. Good for a few laughs with some of the posts.

I use the Precision tool kit, same as the one you just bought. I set the breaker bar parallel to the ground and stand on it. If the nut is still stubborn, I gently bounce up and down on the bar. Technique has not failed me yet. Granted I'm 200 lbs to your 150 lbs, but the extension bar you are waiting on should do just the trick.

EDIT: Make sure the CL tool is fully inserted and that the CL lock depresses easily. Did have one one time that the lock would not depress, requiring a gentle tap with a hammer to depress and unlock it.

While driving it around go to the dealer and let them deal with it. If something goes wrong they're responsible.

If you have enough game you may even be able to get them to do it with no appointment. Even offer to pay if necessary... like for rotating tires.
