I thought Foxwell wouldn't work per this user's post? He said he contacted Foxwell and they said it only works up to 997. Or do you mean just general maintenance

I have a 510, and it will do all the general maint, oil level,,oil reset, maint reset,,trans oil temp, I think is will do a trans calibration also. It will not code.

Bought a Launch X431 to test around before I setup PIWIS on one of my computers, seems to work fine. I did not look into general maintenance stuff but i'm sure it can do all that.
It could read the DME no issues

I use an iCarsoft POR II scanner, it works very well. I've had it for about 4 years and prior to using it on my 991.1 GT3RS I used it on my 981 GT4 for 3 years. I also have Durametric, but much prefer using iCarsoft.

I use this one. It actually calibrated my pdk when nothing else would. Including my mechanics PIWIS. Also works on several other makes and models.

Hi all,
Im currently looking for a 981 GT4. To have a better feeling purchasing one, I want to read the over revs. As far as I understand, Porsche would reject any engine failures if there are over revs recorded.
From my understanding, Durametric would do the job. However, the software only works on 991.1 and 981. Since Im still not 100% if I will buy the 981 or 718, Durametric would possibly the wrong choice.
And regardless of the purchase, I find 700$ a bit high for a software with no updates to current models.
Does any of you know another tool to read the over revs? iCarsoft sounds good but Im not sure if I can acutally read these.
Thanks ins advance and best regards
Henning
