I’m bumping up the training volume heading into spring. I’ve signed up for the Triple Bypass in July. Denver suburbs to Avon, Co. We have our condo in Avon, so that’s convenient at the finish. 118 miles and three mountain passes. Working on the endurance motor with 6-7 hr rides so far. Dropped 4 kg of winter fat.
Plus…weather has been great here in Texas. Got the CGT out for a car gathering.

Nice ride! What are the grades and length of the climbs on your loop?
At age 64… I don’t want to know my wattage now! Would be depressing. When I raced…threshold testing showed 4W/kg, but that was 20 years ago. I’m 6’3” and now 78 kg, but power to weight ratio is what it is. The climbs in Colorado are typically long but not super steep. My bike is geared where I can climb seated most of the time. Just not fast..don’t look at speedo 🙂
