A TT/TTS makes you feel like a great driver.
A GT3 makes you want to be a great driver.

If more than 10 track days a year, 991.2 GT3 or RS. Do not buy 991.1 GT3 with the engine warranty expiring unless you're willing to risk paying a lot of $$ to replace the engine.
If less than 10 track days a year and plenty of road driving, 991 TTS. It sounds good if some sound insulation above the engine is removed. It’s a lot of fun to drive on the road. It’s good on track.

Two different animals. 4 seater vs 2 seater, AWD vs RWD, Forced induction vs NA. If you have kids, Turbo S would be my choice, kids can work with the GT3 you just can only take one out at a time. Turbo S feels more polished where the GT3 will feel more raw.

Well I drove em both (.1 GT3 and .2 Turbo) back to back, and there is now no question in my mind. For me the Turbo felt boring. Like, fine, but meh. The GT3 felt like it was made for me. For what I want out of this next car, the GT3 just ticks most/all the boxes that matter. I wanted to get right back in the GT3 after getting out of the turbo. My GF felt exactly the opposite but oh well.

Thems of you with .2 that also had a .1: Aside from the engine, what's better? I read somewhere that the ride is more compliant on the street, but aside from that anything significant?

As for a comparison .1 to .2: It's not the ride so much, both are very close in terms of road comfort and perfectly comfortable on long rides. The .2 just seems a bit more refined in overall behavior, especially the pdk, which is much better.
Although the .1 is very raw sounding up top, IMO, the 991.2 4.0 motor makes a variety of more engaging and interesting sounds down low and throughout the rev range and has more torque, which is a really nice upgrade from the .1.
Go .2 if you can, I feel it's the better car for sure.

I've owned both. Turbo is a better street car, gt3 is a better track car. Ultimately there is no wrong choice..

Sounds like it's not going to be your daily driver, so I say go with a .1 GT3 with a G6 and enjoy. It's a riot. My G6 has been nearly flawless for 4 years, some 2k track miles, and 33k total miles with it increasing daily.
If you do go .1 & G6, just avoid the forums and the social media GT3 groups as there's a lot of ill-informed naysaying against it; mostly by non Porsche owners or people that want to justify extra money spent on a 4.0 car. You'll find the .1 owners love them...but I digress. Good luck with your search!

I've owned a 991.2 Turbo S (17) and GT3 (18). Both were weekend cars for me. For me the GT3 would have been a bit too raw for daily drivers (plus some of the routes I have to take are not conducive to the low nose of the GT3 even with the lift) and some of the narrow parking situations (unavoidable unless I wanted to talk extra blocks to the office) might have led to a dinged door which would have displeased me greatly (this potential risk would have caused much anxiety with either cars). The sound of the GT3 engine was amazing but the Turbo S left a lot to be desired (even with a Kline exhaust). I might try dailying a Turbo S one day but when my office situation is a bit better (fingers crossed for 100% remote work). Just my 2 cents. Good luck on your search!

When I am in the living room thinking about choices I've made, and the fact that I have now cut down my track time to 2 or 3 weekends a year, I think I should have gotten a TTS. Then I get in the GT3 to drive somewhere, anywhere. No doubt I made the right choice.
