Agreed - keep it NA as intended and work with "god gave you"; lots of power to be found without losing the appeal of the platform.

I hope it comes to fruition one day.

I actually reached out to them a few days ago and got a response. “Thanks for your enquiry. The Porsche GT3 kit has been a long time in development purely due to the inability of current software to tune the vehicle once the Supercharger is fitted. We are currently trialling new software and tune file, so hopefully we will have some positive news shortly. Please keep an eye on our socials and website for further information as it is released”

That's a pretty cool setup. I'd spend some $ to put a very low boost S/C that looked/fit like that on my old 964.

Supercharge an engine that revs to 9k? If you can afford to fix it, it's a great idea.

That's great news, they may reach APR which has incredible results on their ecu tune.

IMHO the 991.2 GT3 RS does not need it. Its plenty of power already. Porsche has spent millions tuning and developing that engine. Why change it?

I love these types of threads, mainly for all the purist tears they cause. Everyone gets it; you think the car is perfect as is. It's not, but you're certainly entitled to feeling that way because maybe it's perfect for you and what you want from it. Some of you get overly dramatic and absolutely ridiculous when other people want to do things to their car. Take a deep breath. Go touch some grass. Your car is going to be just fine. Maybe step away from the keyboard and take it for a drive.

I typically agree with the above, and modded the heck out of several Porsches, and have done some on my current ride. Only thing is that this thread asked for opinions... and I gave one on putting a supercharger on a 9k GT engine. That's it.

I have a boosted Gen2 Coyote, that revs to 8k rpm on 17psi. If a Ford can do it, so can a Pcar.
FWIW, turbo’s are harder on engines than a centri will ever be.

So you take your Ford to the track and run it to redline all day? I’m just saying you’re increasing the likelihood of a problem. I could care less what you, or anybody else, does with their car. I don’t think it’s sacrilege to supercharge a GT3, or that the car is anywhere near perfect. The OP was just asking for opinions.

I do take it to redline every chance I get, on track.
A 1000whp car is a riot to drive.

Nothin in life lasts forever, and nothing is perfect. the likelihood of many things happening can and will. A built 4.1 to take the place of the 4.0 would be bad ***.

I gave my opinion as well, I think it’s awesome these young guys are out there pushing the boundaries of our cars, and making them more individual owner focused.

This is good for our sport the EPA is trying to shut down, maybe think about that.

My old 03 cobra (also was turbo rev'd to 8.5k every time I was in it and I beat the crap out of it for 40k miles on that setup before I sold it.

Not necessarily on the centri/vs turbo comment. If the crank snout can't take the extra stress from the centri bye bye crank. Several of my friends have lost their cranks on their F1X stock crank vipers. (My gen V is going to Nth moto next year for turbos)

I was about to purchase a 991.2 gt3gtrs this week and send it to RR but they told me they've actually had better luck with the .1 engines. So my hunt continues and I'm going to either get a .1 and send it to RR or wait for the Harrop for that sweet supercharger whine.
