GT3 Touring Service

I cant understand why changing the spark plugs would be $1700. It is an hour job at a leisurely pace. Once the car is lifted, the plugs are literally staring you in the face. I changed the spark plugs in my 993 and that was miserable.
The 991.2 motor is an order of magnitude easier. The accessory belt in the 991.2 gt3 on the other hand, not so easy.

I believe on our GT3s, these are the major service items. There are other smaller things, but the small things such as cabin air filter / intake filter is pretty easy to change yourself even without a lift.
- Replace Drive Belt (every 4 years)
- Replace Spark Plugs (every 2 years)
- Brake Fluid Change (every 2 years)
- Oil Change (recommended every year / 5000 miles)

Thanks, this is helpful. Spoke to a respected independent shop who told me they inspect drive belt at every service but replace after 6 years unless they see evidence that it needs replacing. I'm guessing Porsche recommendations are pretty conservative but would be curious to hear whether the consensus is that Porsche's recommendations absolutely should be followed.

Which part did you think was going to be cheap, the Porsche part or the race car part?
