My Miami Blue GT3...
I finally made it into a GT3- it’s been a dream for a long time and when this Miami Blue one came up, I had to snap it up. I still have my 981 GT4 which I love- its staying for now.
The key options I was after were:
-PCCBs
-Carbon Buckets
-Sports Chrono
-Front nose lift
-PDLS
-Cage (because #racecar)
- A bright (or PTS) colour
Modifications I have made:
BBS FI-R alloy wheels with brand new Cup 2S tires
JCT Switchable exhaust
Car Graphic Exhaust controller
The wheels: BBS FI-Rs + brand new Cups 2S N1s: the alloys around 25% lighter than stock and with thinner “spokes” show off more of the disc brakes. One of my favourite wheel designs ever so i am really happy to get them onto the GT3.
The JCR: my word, i should have done this on Day 1! Way way louder than stock despite the car being a non-OPF car. I haven't had a chance to get on a motor way but driving around i have yet to pick up any sign of drone yet. On full chat it genuinely sounds like an RSR race car. I will try get some drive by vids but no doubt a phone will struggle to pick up the noise. There is a lot more character to the noise, and the occasional bangs when changing gear are hilarious.
The car-graphic controller works well although tbh i though there would be more of a difference between loud and quiet (ie quiet isnt that much more quiet). I have it set up as default open. The downside is you lose the button control of the valves in the car, but effectively the controller does the same thing. It also keeps the valves open the whole time instead of keeping them closed between 1.5k-4k rpm.

Which variant of the JCR exhaust did you go with and did you also install their headers? I've been looking at the valved titanium super light race pipe paired with OEM headers. Currently have the Dundon long headers and loud muffler and thinking about scaling it back just a touch, tho hard to tell how much of a difference there would be between these two setups.

Going back to stock headers would shave off a few decibels for you i would have thought. Its plenty loud with the current setup; and being valved definitely helps- even if it adds a little bit of weight vs the non silenced version.

i went for the valved Titanium Race Pipe along with the megaphone tips. Stock headers. Opposite set up to what i have on my GT4 which is Fabspeed headers and stock exhaust.

Love the wheels, they go great with Miami blue. Here is mine, in two different lightings:
