frozenspeed?

one of the things I like about the Porsche Sport Driving School events is that they collate all your personal photos into a gallery that you can download ...

Could've been from Jochen's team yeah as this was shot this week and I saw him at the track, the one in September was shot by other guys but Manthey doesn't pay for free shots anymore so they just drop them into a closed gallery on racetracker.de and you can buy what you like from there... I mean fair enough.

They had a sim race competition the evening before together with the BBQ, I won the race so I got first prize... a pax lap with Kevin Estre. Nice enough but second place got a free entrance to a trackday next year! I wanted that! But then it started pouring down rain a couple mins before I was supposed to go on the lap, they called it a day and now they gave me a free slot for next year anyway Worked out well!

Amazing project and an exhilarating ride, really awesome stuff. Appreciated the high beam flashes near the end of the lap in 5th gear @ 9k. "Up 4 seconds + on Porsche factory time, get out of the way!"

Cup 2 R were amazing? Car looked planted.

Yeah they are really good and the car is balanced very nice. I'm driving with PASM in normal mode by the way, I stopped putting it in hard as it seems to drive just as well but soaks up the bumps better.

I'm using 488 Pista fronts which are 245/35 and SF90 rears in 315/30 - those are still a tad narrower than 305 N spec but at least they are close. They do increase the gearing a tad because there's a bit more sidewall.

This set of tires only came to $1450! Unfortunately someone has clued in somewhere that the SF90 rears are too cheap and price has jumped up 50%.

I wondered if standard PASM setting would be better for the bumps. Maybe DSC in standard PASM would be quicker still??

I note all the setting changes you can make (almsst like low, medium & high bump & separate for the same in rebound, but don't think I am knowledgeable enough (or a good enough driver!!) to start messing with the setting beyond it being set a bit stiffer out of the box by the comapny that sell them in the UK

Nice, also found normal PASM setting better when running a stiffer sidewall on bumpy track.

if you run out of luck on Cup 2 R deals, Nankang CR-S in OE sizes are really good. Not certain available in Europe, but think so.

It's not that it's that much quicker it's just that you have a bit more confidence in a car that is riding the bumps better. With DSC you have stuff like increasing stiffness with speed and G loading which can make the outside shocks go full hard which makes it pretty rough on the ring if you don't manually dial it back to where it's basically mimicking stock PASM..

Yeah, I think Normal for Nordschleife and Sport for Nürburgring Grand Prix track (and other smooth tracks).
