I think you are wrong

You loose such weight if you change headers or side mufflers (with suppressor and valves system suppressor)

OEM central Muffler is very light (Titan made for RS ones) and you will not loose weight with an aftermarker one

The post above is correct. The bulk of the weight reduction comes from removing the side mufflers, not the center.

Get 992 GT3 in manual you will love it and that would be a perfect match with your perf since RS’s are PDK.

I had .2 gt3 manual with bucket seats and I enjoyed it more than my current 2019 performante. Perf is super fast but I really miss the manual gearbox, rear wheel drive and 9k rpm’s. With that being said I’m looking to add a manual 992 gt3 within 2 years.

As far as the seats I’d only get buckets for the gt3 or gt3rs - they are not as bad as lamborghini race seats which will break your back after 20 minutes. I have comfort seats in performante and they are slightly more comfortable than the Porsche buckets but not a lot to be honest.

Thanks for your feedback! Maybe I should drive a manual GT3 again just to be sure. I really loved the RS though from the look and overall driving experience. Even though PDK it felt very different from my Perf and gave me very visceral and enjoyable driving experience.

Man, I went back and forth on the RS vs GT3 manual for almost a year. Drove over a dozen cars. Some were friends cars that were out of state, long drives but was totally worth it in the end. I also did a few track day rentals and that also helped more than I thought it would.

My advice would be to try and get behind the wheel for as many test drives as you can. Take your time and get the spec as close to what you would have pressed as possible.

I ended up with a 991.2 GT3 manual with the sofas. I knew after an extended test drive in a buddy’s car with buckets that they were not from me.

Does anyone know if the 992 comfort seats are the same style and feeling as the 991 comfort seats? I’ve sat in a 992 GT3 comfort seats and loved them.

depends on what you’re looking for. If sound and gratuitous Motorsport drama is your thing, the RS delivers way more. The 992 gt3 is just as fast (at least in my hands) but a lot more civilized. Some folks prefer raw.

this is 100% true - I drove a 992 GT3 and while an awesome car, it was not what I was looking for. It was not wild enough for me and felt a bit disconnected.

Get 991.2 GT3 manual, add a few mods to up the drama and boom best of all worlds. 991.2 RS doesn't really have anything you can't do to a normal GT3.

I have a manual car with full dundon exhaust and modded suspension and its great.

you are partially right….according to Bbi the center muffler only weighs 20lbs. Sides weigh 45 total.

So you still did not weigh it on a scale? LoL
I have one stock GT3 muffler in my hands, we can make a precise comparison.

By “Titan” you mean the stock titanium? Maybe the Bbi site I read was talking about gt3…..not gt3rs.

I miss the sound of the fabspeed I had on my previous gt3rs…..my current gt3rs has Bbi center delete only. I need to find a side muffler delete that will keep the valves functional.
