Update - Found a few cars I really like but looking for some feedback.
Option 1 - .1 RS Ultraviolet - 6,500 miles with CPO. Great spec, UV is my favorite RS color, 1 owner car but car originated in Canada before coming to US dealer but mileage/service on carfax looks legit and decently documented.
Option 2 - .2 RS Weissach - GT Silver with 2,500 miles - great spec as well - 1 owner California car and local to me. No CPO or warranty but well documented service history. Would enjoy silver for a while then likely wrap it another color down the line.
Price delta between the 2 is $30k and both are fully stock. Budget not a big concern but nobody likes forking out more money then needed.
I’ve driven multiple .1’s and .2’s but not back to back. I remember the .2 feeling more responsive and better sound and also more refreshed feeling. Can’t remember much else - both were a ton of fun.
Car will be driven on streets and canyons only no track time. I have a 2019 Performante Spyder I am pairing it with to give context.
What would you recommend for me? I could also hold off and just get a .2 non Weissach or find one with CPO.

If its in the budget CPO would be a must. Get the color and spec you like the best. I wouldn't wrap.

Felt as raw as my 991.2 GT3RS with better steering and a manual.

Each gen gets more refined. The way I see it is that it's a balance between "better" overall vs older more raw analog type cars. I've driven my buddies 992 back to back with my. 2 and his car is definitely a little more refined, quiet, and nicer inside.
My opinion is either the 992 or .2 non RS GT3'S just need an exhaust mod to go from "too" refined to a really nice balance of raw vs nice aka refined. For some it still may not be enough if your want more of a hardcore experience.
Sounds like an RS may be the one for you if you're looking for less refinement, intake and exhaust noise etc..

'Refined' is highly subjective. Is apple carplay better navigation and other comfort upgrades more refined? Sure.
But from a driving dynamics pop having owned both a 991.2 GT3RS and a 992.1 GT3 manual, I find the latter to be a more raw and visceral experience than the former, in fact the 991.1 3RS is more raw and visceral to the 9991.2 RS which I found on the whole slightly disappointing and not much of an upgrade from the 991.2 regular GT3.
The 992.1 GT3 exhaust is louder, the handling is stiffer, and the steering is night and day better ... if one wants to call that 'refined' sure, but that's not really what that means.
My opinion having owned both cars is if one likes the idea of a 991.2 RS manual, then the 992.1 GT3 is the car for them, in fact an even better and rawer version of it.

I have a Performante incoming and I own and spend a lot of seat time in my 991.2 GT3 manual in the mountains and canyons. At least in my perspective when deciding on a combo, I prefer to have 2 very different cars to drive. One, a manual flat six and the other a DCT V10 and you get to choose either one depending on your mood. Add a Dundon headers & exhaust, numeric shifter, and DSC controller and I think you will find the rawness you are looking for in an RS but in a manual GT3.
I will report back once I get some seat time in my new Perf on how it compares.

Duel clutch vs manual
9k rpm FPC V8 vs 9k rpm flat 6
Mid engine vs rear engine
Porsche vs Ferrari
It’s a great set up and covers a lot of bases with just two garage spots.

I have owned both (still own the .2RS).. I loved my UV 991.1RS - still think the front end is cleaner to look at. That being said I went to the 991.2RS to chase what I think will be a better long term motor to own. Clear the RS.s do not have the same issues as the .1 GT3, but when you look at the internals of the .2 motor, they are simply engineered to a higher standard for long term aggressive use. I have the full Dundon system on the cars with intake, throttle body, plenum, headers and loud muffler. Sounds terrific, and the most noticeable improvement over the .1RS is the midrange torque. I'm not a track guy, but I find the power band much more usable, and fun, on the mountain roads. I'm not a good enough driver to say I think one handles better than the other, both far exceed my capabilities behind the wheel and the mechanical grip has saved my xxx more than a few times! You can't go wrong, but I paid a larger delta and am more happy with the decision.
