Help with buying a 991.1 GT3RS
Hello everyone I’m new here and I hope some experienced people can help me. I’m currently looking at 2 different 991.1 gt3rs in my country and just wanted some advice. One is 2015 - 8000km and one is 2016 - 16000 km . Both never been tracked and I myself won’t track it too since we don’t have a track here.
the more I was researching I see there are some differences with the camshaft or something between the 2 years is there something that I should worry about? Because for me I’d of course want the lower mileage one coz in general the condition of the car is just a lot newer but if down the road it will cost me repair problems I’d choose the long lasting one .
thank you

If they are under warranty, or you can get the Porsche warranty, then it doesn't matter which you buy. Just choose the better value or the one spec'd most to your liking. There was no final fix yet for the engine issues on the 2016 cars so I'd want a warranty either way.

???
For starters, there is no such thing as a 2015 GT3RS. Only a gt3 was manufactured that model year—and they do/did have motor issues as did all 991.1 GT3 models from 2014-2016. Lots of threads discussing that.

I was told by my local Porsche dealership that i could not get an extended warranty on ANY RS model. Once the CPO is over, you are on your own. A few friends who have them and track them have needed transmission replacements. I was about to pull the trigger on a 2019 RS until I learned this...too bad...
