Default Warranty options in US for GT3RS

Has anyone had good success with finding an extended warranty for their RS? Seems like there are not many options out there.

There are none unless you buy CPO.

I got a 5 year extended warranty on my GT2RS through Porsche Tampa. I will try giving them a call ask for Ed Trombley. Hope they can help.

Best,

A

When looking to buy a GT4RS and a GT3RS, I brought the VINs to my local dealership, and I was told that Porsche did not offer extended warranties on RS models, unless you are buying from a dealership. Then, you can get a CPO for 2 years with an option to extend for 1 year. I checked with several non-Porsche extended warranty companies, several of which had terrible reviews, and none of them would offer one either. There is one out there that will (for $7k) cover you with a max payout of $20k.
I plan to track my car, and I spoke to a few friends who bought 991.1 and 991.2 GT3RSs. They both had transmi$$ion problems which were covered by their new car warranty. Although I had my heart set on an RS, I decided to go with a 991.2 GT3. I checked again with my local dealership as well as the selling dealership, and extended warranties are available for those. I've been track driving for over 2 decades and several Porsches, and I have NEVER not submitted claims that have paid for the extended warranty at least 2x. If buying a new transmission would not bother me financially, I would have gone for an RS.

FYI, every service contract (extended warranty) I have ever seen has a clause excluding failures incurred at a track event.

I don't recall exactly but it was about 5k-6K and will cover 5 years or 60K miles.

Our Freedom Warranty coverage on the GT3/RS coverage is $20K per claim / $40K per policy.

I asked dealer but no, the packages available for a GT3 have been typically not available for RS through the years.
