I haven't really tried that but if I go by the dyno done by another party in Germany then it makes sense that this is the case, it showed a decent bump very low down the revs and exactly around 5K it drops below stock until about 6600.

Yes, the 991.1 models suffered a big dip, the 991.2 gt3 RS also seems to suffer a post 5K revs dip, but the 991.2 non RS seemed to always be on or above the power/torque curve of the standard exhaust (this is going on the Dundon dyno graphs)

If the 991.2 gt3 RS is just an ECU tune on the GT3, then it mirrors your result of exacerbating the losses & gains.

Would be interesting comparing a pull in say 4th gear from 3k rev upwards standard vs Dundon, but doubt we will evet know.

Maybe one day I will get to a decent dyno cell, like Litchfield in the UK, who have done power runs for multiple .2 gt3 and compare.
I have the dundon and it does feel stronger but it also feels like it doesn't rev as freely. This is what I noticed, but its hard to tell.

Slightly less interesting mods have been applied: I had MR fit the MR 3-way coilovers and got lucky to snag a lightly used rear wing and front splitter kit on a German for sale board at 50% off... so my car is now a GT3 MR save for the brake pads which I refuse to buy for both cost and the color they paint them in.

Not happy with the setup yet and the Spa trackday was one to forget with insane traffic and I melted $700 worth of plastic bits on my bumper from user error with the Dundon silencing tips.

Oh, and I traded my 918 carbon buckets straight up for the folding ones... totally happy with the improved comfort and they hug me better as well.

Ran the new Nankang CR-S as well, but the overly stiff setup at the back made it hard to give them a proper evaluation. They did wonders for the front end but it was not usable when the rear was all over the place.

Is MR going to set up the 3 ways, or are you comfortable fiddling yourself?

Folding buckets are lighter than the fixed one, I understand, so that's another .00001 of a second shave off your lap!!

MR already did when they installed them. Asked me if I wanted the recommended settings that would be like OEM standards (no scraping on the Ring with 2 people and full tank) or the hardcore setup for max performance. Obviously went with B but the rear isn't right. Maybe they just took settings from the 991.1 MR which has a similar coilover setup but also makes actual downforce and more rear tire. Anyway, will be solved. I reckon less high speed compression and more rebound will get us most of the way there, maybe a hole softer on the rear sway.

I'll be interested in hearing your experiences with the KW once properly setup ... I've always considered going with this, but demurred because I am not sure of the ROI along with my ability to determine optimal settings...

love the seats though - I had those in my 997.1 GT3 and loved them ... much better than the (918) buckets IMO

curious how you melted the bumper ... in order to avoid doing the same with my Soul turndowns!

I wasn't able to try them at the Ring which is a pity, definitely it takes the excessive body roll out of the car and steers even more direct with good feedback. It's firmer but especially at lower speeds not overly so. With the current settings the car just goes a bit berzerk at high speeds over short bumps. However, if there is much lap time in it? I suspect not..

I think these seats both fit the interior better in terms of look AND they are significantly softer, better angled and suit my body style more. So it's a no brainer. They were cheaper to spec when new back in the day, but they are rarer these days so I didn't mind swapping with someone with no money involved especially since he drove 4 hours one way to come and do the swap with me.

User error. I was by myself on the first day, and swapped tips at the track without my more mechanically inclined buddy. The top stud on the exhaust is a bit tricky to get the nut onto, and when it seized up with a few mm to go I was worried I was going to snap it off if I applied more pressure. So I left it like that, it wasn't going to come off. But there was a bit of flex there from the thin flange Dundon use and exhaust got past it.

Great feedback so far, thank you! Haven't run my Nankang CR-S yet but upgraded suspension to a MCS four ways....can't wait to try it out and will report back.
Lovely pictures, bigger MR spoiler looks great on 991.2 ...in my humble opinion.

Cheers

I've seen it suggested that maybe the very stiff sidewall means the rear tires especially could benefit from a bit less camber than what MR put in their setup aimed at the Cup 2R's... find out and let us know how you get on!
