New to me 991.1 GT3
Hello all.
Last week traded up from a 13 C2 to 15 GT3 with 2 year CPO. Not a lot of options which I prefer although would have liked PDLS. Xenon lights are weak. Original engine. Car was fully ppf’d which dealership removed for whatever reason. Currently getting front ppf’d. Does anyone have experience with magnetic stone guards?
Will be a daily driver, grocery getter and a handful of HPDEs annually.

Congrats on the purchase, beautiful. The nice thing about magnetic stone guards vs the black vinyl PPF stone guards is you can take them on and off as many times as you like. And you don't have to pay anyone to remove the factory guards and install the new ones. They go on over the factory clear stone guards, PPF, ceramic, whatever. But I am biased, I have a side hustle called MagnaFin that is a site sponsor. I make magnetic stone guards for Porsches. I started by making a set for my own 991.2. Friends started asking me to make them for our road trips, then Rennlisters started asking about them and it just turned into a thing. I think they look great on white cars. With proper installation* they stay on at go-to-jail speeds. A local GT3 customer texted me "they're good for 160." *Proper installation is easy: just make sure the car and magnet are clean and the bottom of the stone guard is above the rocker panel ridge. Website is in my signature if you're interested. Congrats again on the GT3!

Nice pickup, love these cars in white! I got mine last summer and have also used it for some commutes and track days. Just want to drive it every chance I get. I have LED headlights and would prefer the appearance and weight of the xenon's... trade ya?!

Congrats man !!! pick up lots of groceries , dry cleaning , tacos and above all else....get your CPO money's worth so track the bajeesus out of it . Don't save it for the next guy. ; )
And whatever you do, don't open the threads on here about the engine issues...they'll just dampen your love for the GT3 . You'll be fine. I believe these cars have an extraordinary soul , and if you doubt or 2nd guess it - then it will give you the fingers so to speak.
Cheers !

I'll let you know. My biggest gripe might just be due to them not being aligned properly.

Congratulations. Looks like a close twin to mine.
Another thought for protecting the rear flares…. Ask your ppf guy to put a double or triple layer of ppf in that section. It’s basically unnoticeable and he can replace the top layer or two every so often.
Our ppf guy does this automatically for wide body 911s. What he uses is bigger than the standard “shark fin”.

I do suggest you have a strip run along the rocker and behind the rear tires. There's a natural body line there. Not sure where it would stop on the rear bumper, maybe at the license plate? I added the rocker strip to mine after spending a lot of time touching up with Dr. Color Chip. I have a narrow body car so maybe the extra part of the wide body rockers (in black on your car) takes some of the beating for y'all?
