I looked at this car when it was on a local Porsche dealer lot waiting to get CPO. They were unable to CPO it because they found the car to have frame damage. About a week or so later it ended up on this lot. Not saying the original owner caused whatever issue is going on with it but wanted to echo the need for PPI and CPO. In my search for a .2 priced in the low-mid $160K, I came across at least 4 cars that were once on Porsche lots and later sold at auction because they could not be CPO for various reasons.

I just think like the BMW e9x S65 rod bearing issue the whole FF issue is completely blown out of proportion. There are more than 6k .1's rolling around out there and I'd be willing to bet the vast majority have never had complete failures which are all too talked about on forums. Too much fear mongering IMO.

The 991.1 GT3 with a G6 for a mix use track/street is the best bang for the buck. With good maintenance, good oil selection (NOT Mobil 1) and in the hands of a half decent driver on track it will keep up with any .2 GT3 and most of the same gen RS cars at HPDE events at a fraction of the price.

The 991.1 MY2016 came with the G0 engine, which is a very different engine than the 2014-2015 E or F series. From what I remember, the G series that came with the 2016 MY was very similar to the RS engine, with a different bore and stroke resulting in a bit less HP. Recently, I had a fuel injector fail. As part of the fix, the engine was removed and completely inspected. The engine was in excellent condition and required no further remediation other than the injector. The engine has 19k miles on it.
Unfortunately, there are not a lot of MY2016 in the US. If you can obtain one, it would be the best bang for the buck. Especially, since many are still under extended engine warranty.
