Default Steep driveway help

hey guys! So the perfect spec came available and I’m really hoping I can make this work. My plan was to wait until my house is done. Condo we are in right now has a very steep and short entrance to garage. My Tesla barely makes it without scraping, I have to approach at angle and put bumps inside garage to avoid and scraping.

Anyone in similar situation?? Would hate to get it home and be unable to get it in garage. Car does have front axel lift.

I think with the FAL you should be ok. If it’s a local deal can you drive it over and try before you buy? I lost out on a 997 speedster owned by Ichiro in 2015 because it wouldn’t go down my steep driveway. I was so angry I sold the house a year later and bought a house with a flat driveway.

My driveway is a lot less steep and the FAL barely helps clear it going in at an angle. You may have to look into a curb ramp like this one:

Yeah, not that it matters much but Porsche claims 30 mm or 1-5/32" at the leading edge of the front spoiler.

By looking at it, I think you’re going to be plenty fine with FAL.

I was once in a similar predicament. Had to regrade my entire driveway and rip out a massive oak tree or sell the car I had just purchased lol.

I have the FAL and sometimes totally forget about when I am out …like the other day pulling out of my Autozone .. damn dip … car is low for sure. 992 supposedly has GPS FAL you can save if you frequent the same area where you need to use the FAL.

I think it's gonna be very close. Front of my driveway is similar ... mine might be a touch less steep. I have a 991.2 with FAL and it just barely makes it in without scraping.

Try before you buy sounds like good advice if that's possible. Good luck.

the front lip is replaceable ... what I do is to pull out (rear wheels) FAL "down" (to avoid scraping the rear diffuser etc) then go FAL "up" to clear the front ...

I don't think it will work tbh. If anything, this is what i would do to test it out.

Drive at an angle at the bottom of the ramp with FAL on - You will likely get a front wheel in the air for a bit, so take it very slow. Once the front clears, i would lower the FAL, as heigh increase in the front, lowers the rear and the muffler might scrape the ground. Once you get here - its all going to rest on the undercarriage clearing the edge where the garage door meets the ground. Hope this helps!

My driveway is 14 degrees and I have a 991.2 GT3. I use the FAL and have no trouble.

But occasionally I’ve forgotten to hit the button. I’ve found that if I cut the approach at the correct angle I can get up the driveway without FAL and without scraping. In the cases it’s scraped it’s been really minor, just a light touch.
