Default Aston Martin issues a GT3 street challenge

http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/car/6...l-Edition.html

Interesting...600HP normally aspirated, big wings and front splitters actual race size.

Boy , now there is a creative , innovative company. I wonder where they got this idea...thats right, porsche did it starting 13 years ago!!!! I wonder how much this car will cost. Probably at least double the cost of a GT3. The funny thing is the GT3 will still probably beat it on most tracks, is better made and will hold up better in the long run.

I bet it will cost much more than a GT3. On another note, what a sucky pop up riddled site...

3500 lbs. Looks big.
Unlike Porsche's GT3, they're only making 100.

That should increase the price handsomely...

I was extremely excited about this car when I saw the teaser video a month or so ago. I love what they've done with it appearance wise, but wish they made more than 100 so you'd actually see some on track. I'm afraid with such little numbers chances of ever seeing them, or being "affordable" are next to none.

It will be over $250,000 and the same ****ty single clutch and will depreciate like no other. Still a great looking car though - but no thanks. Aston is living in the past and if you spend all day looking out your review mirror you will eventually crash in to some thing

Put a manual in it and keep it under $200,000 - and then you have some thing

^ I bet then you could sell 1000 of them and use that to bridge in to your future with updated designs and new introductions

They released the V8 Vantage GT - $100k manual transmission toy at New York last year.

Not sure how sales went - I didn't like the car when I saw it. Maybe it was a flop for them so they're going back up market?

Sorry - Bad mood today and it is cold as heck here in Chicago. I just want my GT3. I am going to have to uncover her and start her so it puts me in a better mood

This...I will not buy this. Still trying to figure out whether I want to keep my Vantage or trade it on a regular 991 GT3, but I do know, for sure, that I don't want to put a tremendous wing on the back of the Aston.

I have a feeling Aston may be in trouble and this tiny production run is just another chance to get in the headlights. I won't be getting any new Astons in the future, since using AMG engines in an Aston just feels wrong to me (even though Zonda, I know).

Same here in DC..cold and tons of salt and crude on the roads. We usually have winters that are not too bad but this year, with my GT3 1 month old, as sucked. I only squeezed in 550 miles in the month and I haven't driven it in 5 days...It will be at least 2 weeks before the salt and crude is washed away, and that assumes temps above freezing and some rain..this sucks...
