i have thought about doing this, many, many times... in mexico blue, signal green, speed yellow, gulf orange, whatever...

and for about $5k, i think you can get a great install... the ONLY thing that has caused me hesitation is that every quality installer i spoke with, indicated that they would essentially remove every panel on the car. visions of my car being completely taken apart didn't sit well with me... but for all of us that wanted PTS, this would have been a good option. It looks great.

They definitely didn't remove any body panels on my car for the install. Front bumper came off, along with headlight, mirrors and door handles but all very minor stuff. Very happy with the results.

Here's the company I used:

wow. that is impressive... I have never heard of this kind of quality all car wrap without removing panels to get edges right, etc.

their website says its Riviera Blue. Is it that or Mexico? I have a hard time telling the difference myself. The car looks absolutely sweet. What a great alternative to PTS for those that missed. Someone should snag this quickly.

Thanks for all the compliments on the wrap. PTS for the new RS is looking pretty sketchy at the moment so I'd definitely use these guys again if there is no PTS option available.

Riviera Blue is just a touch lighter than Mexico Blue but they are very close.

Thats a great job on wrap in photos.....not many installers that do that good and quite frankly 4K is a deal for the level of detail.

Christ's face on a potato skin, that's an impressive job on the wrap.

OK, how the hell do you wrap the mirrors, door handle, wing, etc with no overlap of material or gaps?

Are those items plastic coat?

i believe they use a heat gun to stretch and flex the vinyl material and shape it around whatever needs to be wrapped.

I don't believe they heat and stretch the material....that would thin some areas out and make for an uneven color density.....There's plenty of YouTube videos on it.....
