991 GT3 RS - Confirmed Orders
I was talking with my local Porsche dealer last week and he said Porsche told them that every RS is now spoken for. They will all be built by the end of the year and that is it. I wondering who on RL has a confirmed order.
By the way the local dealer has a total allocation of 10, 5 for each of their 918 buyers, plus an additional 5.

Seems to be roughly 20 to 25 people at V200 in the US on RL - pretty low considering it was 700+ allocations so far.
I suspect some are ordered for stock at the moment vs customer orders.

Most reputable dealers know based on 911 sales volume...there is a formula PCNA uses to determine how many RS allocations a dealer will get...at a minimum if for some reason PAG decides to make more. My guy has known the number since last fall and it has not changed according to his PCNA rep.

Has your "guy" revealed that number to you?

I was told 725 with 225 going to 918 customers. But this was a week before the first allocations came out, and MJones has sinced posted 225 as the 918 customer orders.
Maybe we do a poll and take the average?

500 is quite the small number if indeed the true total number to be produced. I honestly believe the thought process of trying to figure out how many people are in the market for a $200k car when there are definitely more than we'd like to think. The economy coupled with the changed dynamics of the 1.3 and RS brings a lot of interest to the equation. I do think much of this new market is void of the heritage aspect and instead see something new along with bright and shiny (there's a reason why all these new sports cars are being debuted in bright colors...psychological attraction). This is likely also why those who are into the game of speculation (must have and keep [aka, store] because it's the last of its breed) may quickly figure out the RS doesn't meet their needs (boring, uncomfortable, loud, etc) and there will then be an RS used market.

500 works out to 2.5 average per dealer (at 200 dealers). The lowest number I've heard from a dealer was 2 and there are a number of people on here posting 5+, but some also posting 1 so it seems likely to me that 500 were handed out.
Some people on here have multiple orders and I'm sure there are many others in the market. 500 doesn't go far, who knows if there will be more - but clearly the market demand is still there.

OT, but what does Porsche consider 4Q? My dealer believes he'll have an allocation for a 4Q build, but I can't see this as a realm of possible when a few RLs have already stated V200s with Dec builds.
